Recording a trip

From Start to Arrived.

Start and arrive

Start on the Today tab begins the trip; the first time, the app asks for location while a trip is running. A notification shows the distance and has its own Arrived button. Pause stops the count, Resume picks it up. Auto-pause when stopped holds the timer at red lights and in traffic.

On arrival

Arrived: choose Business, Personal or Later. The client and reason are suggested from your last trip to that place. Vehicle, odometer, other purposes opens the rest. Tick Remember this place to name a place for next time.

If something goes wrong

If the app is closed during a trip, Trip interrupted offers to resume it. A trip not yet saved stays on screen until you save or discard it. Some phones stop GPS to save battery: Recording with the screen off, in the settings, shows how to exempt the app.
